Our home was built in 1976 and
has been fully renovated
recently. It is a terrace
house with 2 bedrooms and a
bathroom on the top floor, a
living room and combined
dining room/kitchen on the
second floor, and a bedroom,
office, and bathroom on the
ground floor (150 square
meters or1600 square feet).
The bedrooms have queen sized
beds and one has a single bed.
There is a patio on the ground
floor and a double car, lock
up garage. Included is
wireless internet access, TVs,
dishwasher, two quality
bicycles, etc. A car swap
could be arranged subject to
insurance approval; we have a
2006 Honda CRV.
Our house really has location,
location, location. Five
minutes walk away is the
wonderful Sydney Fish Market,
Broadway Shopping Centre, 30+
restaurants and cafes, a grand
walk along the Glebe foreshore
of Sydney Harbour; a 20 minute
walk will get you to the
centre of Sydney, the
University of Sydney, or 4
Olympic sized swimming pools.
We walk to the Sydney Opera
House. Bondi Beach, the
closest of Sydney’s 29 ocean
beaches, is a 20 minute drive
way - double that time by a
good bus service. Ron is a keen cyclist and
Barbara and Ron do
recreational walks in
Australia and Spain regularly.
Our daughter and son and their
families live nearby in Sydney
and can be contacted for
assistance about the house. We
are retired
university academics who
continue to write. We are
experienced travelers. |
