Hello from Kevin and Jan.We would love to come to
Sydney April 2012 for 2 weeks.
This can be a non simultaneous
exchange and you can choose
when you would like to visit
us.
Also we would like some longer
exchanges which can also be
NSE during late December - end
of March to South Africa,
Sydney, Tasmania, NI New
Zealand or anywhere else that
is warm during this period.
Please get in touch and we
will reply to every request.
Salisbury is a beautiful
historical city and a lovely
part of England to tour from.
It is famous for its Cathedral
with the tallest spire and
housing a wonderful copy of
the Magna Carta. Salisbury is
close to Stonehenge, and also
ideal for touring South- West
England, the New Forest with
the lovely New Forest ponies,
and Bournemouth and Poole,
with their wonderful sandy
beaches.
This is also an ideal location
for historians with Bath and
Winchester on its doorstep;
for film buffs who like
visiting film locations e.g.
Wilton House where 'The
Madness of King George' was
filmed and Lacock where 'Pride
and Prejudice' was filmed;
artists love coming here as
Constable and Turner painted
many of their picures in the
Cathedral Close; golfers have
a choice of coursesto practice
their skills and theatre
enthusiasts can enjoy plays
performed at our wonderful
Salisbury Playhouse or travel
to London which is only 1 hour
10 mins. journey by train to
enjoy London productions.
Our detached family home has
two double bedrooms with very
comfortable double beds, one
with an ensuite and a further
family bathroom and one
bedroom which has been
converted into a study with
computer and internet access.
On the ground floor there is
an entrance hall with a
downstairs cloakroom, kitchen,
dining room and lounge.
The kitchen is fitted with all
modern facilities including
dish washer, fan oven, grill
with separate oven, microwave,
gas hob, refrigerator and deep
freeze.
A utility room leads off the
entrance hall and this houses
a washing machine, drying area
and a further deep freeze.
This room leads into the
garage where bicycles and
barbecue equipment are stored.
Our home has a two tiered
rockery garden with two lawns
at the back of the house and
two small lawns at the front.
Adjacent to this is a driveway
with parking for two cars.
Our detached home is set in a
quiet cul de sac with views
over the downs, where the
Bishops grazed their sheep in
the olden days. We are very
conveniently situated, close
to all amenities; bus stops;
park and ride; corner shop;
cricket ground; petrol
station; pub and restaurant.
Salisbury is a 35 minute walk
or a few minutes drive into
the City.
Salisbury is easily accessed
by air from Bournemouth and
Southampton airports as well
as London airports.
Kev and I are both recently
retired from Marketing and
Supplies and from teaching and
now we would like to travel
and make friends worldwide
through home exchange. We have
done this successfully
exchanging homes with people
from America, Canada, England
and Australia but would still
like to return to these
countries and explore further
and also explore new
destinations.
We are non smokers, don't have
pets and are very proud of our
home, maintaining and
treating it with great care
and would do the same with
yours.
We also have an apartment
listed on the Seniors home
exchange website No.4924,
which we sometimes use for
home exchange or sometimes
rent to holiday makers.
Kevin and I would love to hear
from you so do please get in
touch. We promise to reply to
every request received.
Best wishes
Jan and Kev
