Our weather here is much colder than the rest of the state due to the altitude. It is a pretty town but very dry at the moment because of severe drought. Stanthorpe is a popular tourist destination because of the national parks and wineries. We have some lovely restaurants here and plenty of fresh produce (it's also a pome and stone fruit area - there is a stonefruit orchard at the back of my place - very pretty in spring- I just love to sit out on the deck and look at the blossoms)
