Fingal Head is 10 minutes from Coolangatta (which has an international airport), 35 minutes from Gold Coast city and 70 minutes from Brisbane city. It is a headland area between the Pacific Ocean and the Tweed River, is part of the Tweed Coast tourist region and provides easy access to tropical hinterland, rainforest and coastal areas. It is in close proximity to five World Heritage National Rainforest Parks. Typical leisure activities available are surfing, fishing, boating, hiking and golfing (over 40 courses within a one hour drive). There is easy access to many fine restaurants and shopping areas. The area has a wonderful climate with plenty of sunshine. Mean minimum and maximum temperatures in summer are 18 and 29 degrees celsius and in winter 8 and 22. Our exchange is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, single-level, luxury townhouse offering total privacy in a group of three. It is fully equipped, has sandstone flooring, a large outdoor eating area and a heated outdoor spa. We look over a headland lighthouse, ocean, river and Coolangatta cityscape views. A current model 4 wheel drive automatic vehicle is available.

We are an active semi-retired professional couple (both lawyers) released from parental responsibilites and enjoying a varied lifestyle. While we live in Brisbane, Fingal is our beautiful beach house!

We prefer to exchange in the northern hemisphere between April and October but are flexible on location, timing and duration. This year (2003) we had a successful exchange for one month in Cambridge, England.
