| | Bruce 60's, and Pip 50's, both retired say hello from the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Caloundra, Queensland, Australia. Our ancestors came from South Wales and Shropshire, hence our desire to spend 6 to 8 weeks in the UK, with hopefully more than 1 exchange of more than 2-4 weeks each.
Our 5 year old home, with most mod cons, is in a quiet street, which we take great pride in as we would with your home. We have no dependent children or pets and are non smokers and light social drinkers.
The average temperature in May and June is approx 12 at night to 21 celsius in the day, with many sunny days.
There are many sights to see, within 10 minutes are 7 lovely sandy beaches, some with Pelicans, and Dolphins occasionally appear, "Oz World" with a aborigine displays, lorikeet feeding, 4 good shopping centres, cinemas, fishing and 2 golf clubs.
Within 30 minutes, Australia Zoo with Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter, Underwater World, Mooloolaba and Noosa where a coffee or meal on the beach is very nice, Montville Village in the hinterland, The Glass House Mountains, and many parks with bush walks.
Brisbane is 90 Kms, about 1 hour drive from here.
The Gold Coast starts 1 1/2 hours away, with Dreamworld themepark, Movieworld, Wet n Wild, while Seaworld is another 15 minutes onwards at Surfers Paradise.
We have an automatic car, which we would like to swap.
May and June 2004, is our most suitable time to come to the UK.
We have not had any house exchanges, but have done house minding on several occasions.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
