utility room with large washing machine and dryer, huge formal lounge with full length sliding doors which open on to the balcony looking towards the sea, large formal dining room with period dining suite and chandelier, a snug in which to watch the television or read in comfortable chesterfield leather lounge. Both these floors are air-conditioned to ease the hot summer days. On the lower levels of the house we have storage areas and a computer room (also air-conditioned) and a workshop (which would be closed off). Our garden is very large with many native trees and bushes, fruit trees and a small vegetable and herb garden. The main feature in the garden is the large dark blue tiled swimming pool perfect bliss in summer and is surrounded by a large entertaining area with outdoor furniture and built in BBQ. The garden and pool are fully maintained.
Situated 3 miles away from the main surfing beach at Surfers Paradise in Queensland on Australia's fabulous Gold Coast we have beautiful views from the front of our hillside location over looking the high-rise buildings that line the shores of the Pacific Ocean and to the rain forested hinterland mountains that rise to the horizon at the rear of our home. Our manual car would be available as distances in Australia require private transport.
There are many tourist attractions in our immediate vicinity including Warner Bros. Studios and their theme park Movie World, Dream World, Sea World, Sanctuary Cove Currumbin Bird Sanctuary plus world-class golf courses, water sports, bushwalking, in fact too many to list. The Gold Coast is the tourist capital of Australia and is ideally situated midway between Sydney and Cairns which is famous for its access to The Great Barrier Reef although the lower end of the reef is easily accessible via our main motorway which runs north to the Sunshine Coast.
The International airport is located just off the motorway near our state capital, Brisbane, and is only 1 hour away. To the west by an easy 2 hour drive is Toowoomba at the top of the Great Dividing Range and is justly referred to as the Garden City and gateway to the Darling Downs.
We are a retired professional couple (62 & 60), non-smokers and without pets. Our choice of destination is open to offers which include a car. We will be happy to email pictures of our house, pool and garden.
