Les & Odette are a retired couple (mid 60s) who have had several succesful exchanges since becoming members. Our favorites were in Australia for 6 weeks and Arizona for 3 weeks. We are interested in all offers and will answer all e-mails. Simultaneous exchanges would be preferable but non simultaneous or hospitality exchanges may be possible. We have no pets but would consider pet sitting. We are nonsmokers.
OUR HOUSE:
Our home is located in the city of Dartmouth across the harbour from the capitol city, Halifax. A comfortable, one level 3 bedroom bungalow and bathroom on the main level. The downstairs has a 4th bedroom and bath. The house also has a self-contained apartment. All modern appliances and conveniences, hot water heating, computer with internet access. Leather furniture and all floors are hardwood or tile. The living room has patio doors that open to a large, private deck extending along the back of the house. Behind the house is a treed park which is a 2 minute walk from a lake with a beach. We are a short drive or 10 minute walk to a large shopping centre. The house is on a bus route to both the harbour bridges and ferry terminal. We are close to beaches, golf courses, ski hills and walking trails. Automatic drive car exchange is an option.
THE AREA:
Dartmouth is ideally located for day trips throughout the province. Nova Scotia is a beautiful place to visit, especially during our autumn months. The brilliant colours and pleasant daytime temperatures make it ideal for walking, hiking or travel trips to other parts of the province.
