	Our home is a comfortable 2 storey house with attractive peaceful gardens at the front and rear with two decks, one with attached gazebo for outside dining, and a patio. It has three bedrooms, one converted into an office, with the large master bedroom having an attched ensuite bathroom with whirlpool bath. In addition there is another bathroom in the basement and a powder room on the main floor. The living room and separate dining room have hardwood floors and the fully equipped kitchen has an eating area. The basement has a den with TV, CD/VCR player and a stereo system. Outside there are peaceful gardens with numerous seating areas and pits for playing horseshoes. The garage is separate from the house and there is additional parking space for a second car. We would be open to leaving a car for the exchange visitors. Our home is situated on the outskirts of New Glasgow, a small town with good shopping, fine dining, a theatre and a beautiful riverside walking trail, and is 200 yards from an 18 hole championship golf course.There are three other courses within 15 minutes drive. Extensive sandy beaches are within 15 minutes drive and in summer the waters are the warmest north of the Carolinas. We are 1 ½ hours from Halifax, the historic capital of Nova Scotia and the same distance from Cape Breton Island voted the 2nd most attractive island for visitors with its enchanting and exciting mountainous Cabot Trail. Halifax International airport is 1 ¼ hours from our home with flights available to other parts of Canada,the US and Europe. We, Roger and Melvena, are a semi retired couple with grown up children not at home eager to begin our exchanges. We are non smokers and do not have any pets and would hope that our exchange visitors would be likewise. We wish to visit Barbados in the spring, England in July/August/September and Australia in the Autumn. We promise a warm welcome to Nova Scotia and an enjoyable and relaxing stay in Canadaâ€™s Ocean Playground.
