Why not come to Rotorua in the Central North Island - New Zealand's tourist mecca where you can experience bubbling mud, thermal hot pools, gushing geysers, trout fishing, Maori culture at it's finest and incredible outdoor persuits like luge riding, walking, zorbing, bungy jumping, white water rafting - you are never too old! Rotorua boasts many golf courses, nature walks and fresh water lakes within 20 minutes of the city whilst the sea and lovely beaches are 1 hour or the mountains for tramping and skiing 2 1/2 - 3 hrs drive. Leon & I (Ra) have lived in the area for over 26 years and have hosted many guests from around the world at our previous home (B&B) so can offer suggestions of the "must do activities". We are a self-employed couple in our early fifties with a civil contracting business in the Rotorua area. We welcome couples (no children or pets sorry) to either share our home with us or exchange homes. Our property in Rotorua is a 4 year old two-storey, 3 bedroom house located 5 minutes from the city centre. We have 2 bathrooms, 2 lounge areas and a modern entertainers kitchen with balconies giving views over Lake Rotorua and surrounding countryside. We have sky TV, a computer with fast internet and all the modern conveniences you would expect in a 5 star motel. (No chef or maid sorry!)By the way, Our cat Whiskey shares our Home in Rotorua and unfortunately is too old to start going to a cattery. Whoever chooses to stay in our Rotorua home will need to give him the occasional cuddle and meal -he is usually very well behaved and does not go into the bedrooms. You can check out our city on www.rotorua.co.nz.
We also have an appartment on the waterways at Gulf Harbour, Whangaparoa (30 minutes north of Auckland city). We would suggest organising a rental car upon arrival in New Zealand as public transport is rather restrictive or expensive in some areas. We would love to exchange in France during 2007 and other countries throughout Europe.
We look forward to receiving enquiries and are happy to help with suggestions for other destinations throughout New Zealand. |
