Hello from Kevin and Jan. We are both recently retired from Marketing and Supplies and from teaching and would now like to travel extensively. We have done this successfully exchanging homes with people from Boston, Sheffield New England, Ellesmere Shropshire, Chester, Melbourne and Townsville Australia where our daughter now lives. We are non smokers, don't have pets and look after our apartment with great care and would do the same with yours.

This is our second home and so is available to either rent or use as a non simultaneous exchange.

Salisbury is a beautiful historical city, famous for its Cathedral and proximity to Stonehenge, but also ideal for touring South-West England, the New Forest with the lovely New Forest ponies, and Bournemouth and Poole, with their wonderful sandy beaches.

This is also an ideal location for historians with Bath and Winchester on its doorstep; for film buffs who like visiting film locations e.g. Wilton House where 'The Madness of King George' was filmed and Lacock where 'Pride and Prejudice' was filmed; artists love coming here as Constable and Turner painted many of their picures in the Cathedral Close; golfers have a choice of coursesto practice their skills and theatre enthusiasts can enjoy plays performed at our wonderful Salisbury Playhouse or travel to London which is only 1 hour 10 mins. journey by train to enjoy London productions. Fir Trees apartment is situated within a lovely fifteen minute stroll into Salisbury's Cathedral Close and onto the city centre and all the main attractions.

Harnham, where the apartment is situated is in a select area of Salisbury providing historical walks over Old Harnham Bridge to Salisbury's Cathedral Close and another walk via the town path through the water meadows where Constable painted his famous picture of Salisbury Cathedral.

It is in an deal location for either walking to the city or on a very good bus route both to the city and to other cities and attractions. The apartment has been newly renovated and styled in neutral tones with modern appliances. There is a breakfast bar between the kitchen and lounge which provides an open plan living and dining area. The kitchen has all modern appliances including an electric oven, gas hobs, microwave, washer/drier etc.

The lounge also has a double sofa bed, two reclining leather chairs with reading lamps positioned for a relaxing read or for watching TV or a DVD. There is a twin bedded room with fitted wardrobes and dressing table and a shower room adjacent to this with shower, toilet and washbasin.

Holiday makers who have stayed in the apartment have said "'Wonderful apartment in a gorgeous city. Very clean and everything one needs is supplied. We have greatly enjoyed your kindness and hospitality. We hope to be back! M&I - Netherlands and "'This apartment has it all! Stylishly and efficiently decorated, felt like home! Water Meadows, Manor Houses, the New Forest, Isle of Wight at a glance, too much to see and do in just five days, we need to come back! S&E - NL

Salisbury is easily accessed by air from Bournemouth and Southampton airports as well as London airports.

Kevin and I would love to hear from you so do please get in touch. We promise to reply to every request received.

Best wishes

Jan and Kev
